Understanding DigiCam

Lets briefly dive into how exactly DigiCam works, and what to expect out of DigiCam. DigiCam includes 2 separate systems that work in coherence with one-another. These are the Photo Camera & Photo Album.

Photo Camera The Photo Camera is responsible for capturing photos of objects that have been Tagged. The Photo Cam includes your expected zoom in/out features, A "Night Mode" for capturing images in dark environments, and a custom "Focus and Capture" system designed to be a more interactive approach to photo cameras in a game. By requiring the player to first "focus" on an object, we emphasize our objects more, and restricts the player from quickly looking at an object and instantly capturing it.

Photo Album Our Photo Album is responsible for storing the photos taken from the Photo Camera in a book-style layout. Photos captured and stored here can also be selected/inspected to enlarge the image and/or play a sound when the player selects/inspects that photo.
